The stories we whisper about deserve to be heard. 💋

So, who the fuck is “The Bad Influence”

you know, the girl your mom warned you about? Hi 💋

I was the bad influence. The black sheep. The girl who made a lot of bad decisions with a genuinely good heart. I’ve been drunk. I’ve been high. I’ve been arrested. I’ve been the problem. I’ve carried shame for things I’ve done and things that have happened to me. I’ve had chapters of my life I would’ve ripped out if I could.

But I don’t believe any woman is just born bad.

I think things happen to us. Life happens to us. Trauma changes us. Addiction changes us. And sometimes broken women do things that hurt other people.

That doesn’t erase accountability. It just means the worst thing we did isn’t the only true thing about us.

I learned along the way shame never made me a better person. You know what did? Owning my shit did. Forgiving myself did. Growing the fuck up did.

I started XOXO, The Bad Influence because the world loves keeping receipts on women at their worst — the mugshot, the arrest, the relationship she ruined, the thing her family still brings up ten years later. But nobody talks about our comeback.

Nobody talks about what happened to us before, what it took to come back, or who we fought to become after.

So that’s what we’re doing here.

XOXO, The Bad Influence is a safe place for the girls they thought wouldn’t make it.

The ones who have fucked up. Been fucked over. Started over. Gotten sober. Relapsed. Tried again. Grown up. Changed their minds. Broken their own hearts. Broken somebody else’s. And wondered if the worst thing they’ve ever done gets to decide who they are forever. News flash, it doesn’t, baby.

Bring me the confession from active addiction. The recovery story. The thing you survived. Who you were before addiction. Who you are now.

Keep it anonymous, sign off with your name — that part belongs to you.

This isn’t therapy. I’m not here to diagnose you, fix you, or pretend I have my shit together. I’m just a woman who has lived enough life that yours probably won’t scare me.

I used to be the girl your parents told you to stay away from. Now I’m the woman who shows other women their darkest days don’t have to define them.

Accountability? Absolutely. Shame? BLOCKED.

XOXO,

The Bad Influence💋
